Skeleton Crew Main Cast Gets First Look Through Star Wars Merch

After being kept under wraps, the first image of Skeleton Crew's young main cast is seen in a piece of Star Wars merch.

It looks like Lucasfilm and Disney will start promoting Star Wars: Skeleton Crew as Star Wars: The Acolyte is about to be released in a couple of weeks. To prove this, little details about the show, like its release window, are now emerging. Now, a new Star Wars merch gives a first look at its young main cast: Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, and Robert Timothy Smith.

The merch in question, available on Fanattik’s website, is the Skeleton Crew's official ingot, which features an engraved image of the group. Its box offers a good look at the kids, with Armstrong, a white-haired Kratter wearing an eyepiece, followed by Cabot-Conyers and a calf believed to be Smith, all lined up and looking in the same direction. The ingot also shows a droid looming behind them, two skulls on the side, and a small image of the children following a man's lead, who seems to be Jude Law’s character.

However, after noticing that images had leaked online, Fanattik deleted them, admitting they were mistakenly listed too early. It explained that it wasn’t a mistake on their end, but due to the licensing chain. The store promises the images will be available when the show’s release date nears, though the pre-order is still available, and the ingot is priced at about $25.

The Skeleton Crew ingot is a limited edition; only 5,000 pieces are available worldwide. Each collectible is individually numbered and features “a heavily embossed double-sided design.” If the face details the key characters’ images, the back features the classic Star Wars logo. It also comes with a display stand inside the presentation box.

But as they say, nothing can escape the internet, and you can see the Skeleton Crew ingot below:

What is Star Wars: Skeleton Crew about?

Skeleton Crew will follow the story of four kids who find themselves on an epic adventure after making a big discovery on their home planet. The children get lost in the galaxy and try to find their way home. Not much is known about the series’ plot, but it’s said to take place at the same time as Star Wars: The Mandalorian, though it remains to be seen if it will also feature Din Djarin or Grogu.

After its announcement at the Star Wars Celebration in May 2022, its exclusive footage revealed that it would introduce two girls, a boy, and a young alien, probably the calf in the ingot image. The kids live in a forested world, doing usual things like children their age in Amblin-inspired projects. Their adventure begins when they leave their home planet aboard a starship and end up on Ortolan.

There, they meet different creatures and pirates, like Nikto, a scoundrel in The Mandalorian Season 3. But while lost, they eventually meet Law’s character and are saved by the mysterious Force user after escaping prison.

So far, there are no words on when Skeleton Crew will be released, though director John Watts claimed it would hit Disney+ around Christmas. So, it may take no time before Lucasfilm finally starts its promotions, or more leaks may come out soon.
