Matsuura's Reincarnated as the Daughter of the Legendary Hero and the Queen of Spirits (Chichi wa Eiyuu, Haha wa Seirei, Musume no Watashi wa Tenseisha) light novel series is getting an anime adaptation, publisher Kadokawa Books announced on its official X (formerly Twitter) account. "My father is a hero, my mother is a spirit, and my daughter is a reincarnated person," Kadokawa Books quoted along with the announcement and anime visual.

The isekai anime is based on Chichi wa Eiyuu, Haha wa Seirei, Musume no Watashi wa Tenseisha (Father is a Hero, Mother a Spirit, Me, Their Daughter Am a Reincarnator) written by Matsuura and illustrated by keepout. It began as a web novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou self-publishing site in 2016 before it was acquired by Kadokawa Books, which released its first volume in March 2018. In October 2022, the light novel series ended its serialization, with 9 volumes published. The series also received a manga adaptation with art by Yutaka Ohori, which has 10 volumes published.

To defend their relatives' honor, they need to reconnect to old ties to the Vankreift household. The protagonist is an eight-year-old named Ellen, who has the gift of manipulating elements of the periodic table, giving her the power to transform her surroundings. Due to being a scientist in her past life, she has incredible amount of scientific knowledge.
