Pocketpair has been working to expand Palworld into a multi-title franchise for some time. That plan now includes Palworld Online, a large-scale multiplayer survival adventure game built exclusively for mobile platforms. Garena, the publisher of Palworld, confirms that it expects to launch the Palworld Online MMORPG for mobile devices in 2026 in collaboration with Pocketpair, carrying over capture, crafting, and exploration while centering the experience on persistent online interaction.
The new title reconstructs the depth, freedom, and scale that defined the 2024 hit specifically for iOS and Android. Players will still capture and raise mysterious creatures known as Pals, but the experience now centers on continuous interaction with others rather than primarily solo play. A vast world and cooperative systems form the foundation of the design.
According to an auto-translated version of the news release, the game is “Centered around online multiplayer where players can meet in the same world and enjoy cooperation, competition, and joint base building, the game also incorporates its own unique story setting and original storyline.” The same statement adds that it is “Set in a vast, seamlessly connected open world, players can enjoy adventures with friends anytime, anywhere, alongside the mysterious creatures called pals.” These elements combine the familiar Pal-raising loop with persistent social features and a narrative created for this version.
Mobile optimization receives particular attention in the design. The interface is described as “touch-friendly,” and the game includes “optional one-tap controls” so that base construction, Pal management, and relocation remain practical on smaller screens. These adjustments aim to preserve strategic depth while making everyday actions faster to perform on phones.
Terry Zhao, the president of Garena, addressed the collaboration directly. “We want to deliver a new experience on mobile where players can connect with each other and adventure together. Working closely with Pocketpair, we are optimizing the game so that it can be enjoyed comfortably on mobile devices without sacrificing the depth, immersion, and freedom that are characteristic of Palworld.” The statement underscores the priority of maintaining the original game’s identity while adapting it to handheld play.
Exploration remains a core pillar. Players will travel a continuous open world with their Pals, uncovering treasures, story clues, and new regions as they progress. Capturing and raising Pals continues to strengthen the bond between trainer and companion, while exclusive side stories expand the lore beyond the console and PC versions. Shared bases become central hubs where groups can craft, defend, and automate production by assigning Pals to various tasks. Cooperative PvE challenges and competitive PvP encounters sit alongside more relaxed activities such as visiting other players’ settlements or hunting rare Pals together.
The survival and crafting systems carry over into this shared environment. Friends can expand structures, improve defenses, and create living spaces that support ongoing social interaction. All of these systems are being tuned so they function smoothly across a wide range of phone specifications without losing the sense of freedom that defines the series.
Palworld Online does not have an exact release date yet. Further details on the timeline and future developments will be shared at a later time.
