Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 could be getting a second season. The limited series focusing on the Jedi Master was originally intended to be a standalone story but fans have been clamoring for more of Kenobi. Now director Deborah Chow has given a hopeful update on the Star Wars show returning for Season 2.

In recent times, the anticipation for an Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 2 has gained momentum. Vivien Lyra Blair, who portrays young Leia in the series, has hinted that Ewan McGregor's enthusiasm for the role is palpable. "He is just begging to do" another season, she revealed, leaving fans intrigued and hopeful for more epic lightsaber duels, intergalactic struggles, and emotional revelations.

But is McGregor's wish coming true? Deborah Chow recently told The Hollywood Reporter where she confirmed that Ewan McGregor has always been pushing for Season 2. In addition to that, she is now open to a second season.

"You always think you’re going to end a series like this in some magnificent way, but instead you end up in a parking lot with second unit and hardly anybody there. It’s always so anticlimactic, but as Ewan and I finished our very last shot on second unit and I was literally taking off my headphones, he was already pitching me ideas for Season 2," Chow said.

"There’s another 10 years with plenty of stories, and I don’t think it’s off the board," she added. "It is a 'never say never' situation, but we really did conceive this to be a limited series."

We're loving the hopeful update from Deborah Chow and Ewan McGregor's enthusiasm for a second season. However, it is important to point out that Lucasfilm and Disney are still uncertain about the future. Despite the buzz and excitement surrounding a potential Season 2, official confirmation remains elusive.
