The return of Aang and his fellow powerful benders is nearly here. But before its much-awaited release finally comes, Netflix has dropped the final trailer for its live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. As Aang questions his ability to save the world, the preview reveals his Avatar State, showing the incredible power he’s about to unleash as he prepares to face the Fire Nation.

You can see the trailer below:

The last Avatar: The Last Airbender trailer shows Aang as he enters his Avatar State, which holds a massive cosmic energy that taps into the knowledge of the protagonist's past lives or the previous Avatars that grant him extreme power. With this, he can perform powerful bending feats. However, Kyoshi warns him that this power can either be an ultimate weapon or it can save his life.

The next scene shows Aang confessing that everyone’s counting on him, with the responsibility he now shoulders. But it’s still a question for him as to how he will save the world if he doesn’t know what he’s doing. Thankfully, he gets the support of his friends, with Katara pushing him to try his best. As intense, action-packed scenes begin to play, Aang unveils his extreme power, surprising everyone, including Zuko and his Uncle Iroj.

As the appearance of the other Air Nomads gives hope to the worrying Aang, Sokka faces Zuko, resulting in an intense fight between the two. “I don’t know where this will lead,” Aang says. “But one thing I do know is, this is just the beginning.” From there, a joyful Aang asks Appa to fly as he accepts his fate to save the world.

What is Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender about?

Avatar: The Last Airbender follows the journey of Aang, the world’s last hope and the next Avatar, who has the ability to bend all four elements of water, earth, fire, and air. As an international arbiter who’s set to maintain harmony among the four nations, he has to muster all the elements after being freed from a block of ice with the help of his newfound friends, Sokka and Katara, to save the world from the threat of Fire Nation’s Fire Lord Ozai after attacking and wiping out the Air Nomads.

You can read the synopsis below:

Water. Earth. Fire. Air. The four nations once lived in harmony, with the Avatar, master of all four elements, keeping peace between them. But everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked and wiped out the Air Nomads, the first step taken by the firebenders towards conquering the world. With the current incarnation of the Avatar yet to emerge, the world has lost hope. But like a light in the darkness, hope springs forth when Aang, a young Air Nomad — and the last of his kind — reawakens to take his rightful place as the next Avatar. Alongside his newfound friends Sokka and Katara, siblings and members of the Southern Water Tribe, Aang embarks on a fantastical, action-packed quest to save the world and fight back against the fearsome onslaught of Fire Lord Ozai. But with a driven Crown Prince Zuko determined to capture them, it won’t be an easy task. They’ll need the help of the many allies and colorful characters they meet along the way.
