We already know that Kamala Khan is going to be a major part of The Marvels later this year. But what are the chances that she will be returning in her solo series? Ms. Marvel producer Sana Amanat spoke about the possibility of the show getting a second season. Interestingly, it looks like the fate of Season 2 rests on the fans.
It has been more than a year since Ms. Marvel premiered on Disney+. The series dropped its first episode in June 2022 and fans immediately fell in love with Kamala Khan, the 16-year-old Avengers fangirl who becomes a superhero herself. Kamala's future was teased in the finale and it looked like she could return in more episodes.
So can we expect Ms. Marvel Season 2 being announced anytime soon? Producer Sana Amanat was recently in attendance at the Women of Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2023 where she discussed the possibility of the series being renewed for a second season. Interestingly, Amanat urged fans to continue asking Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige for another season.
”It’s great to see more demand. You know, complain. I’m happy to have you guys complain to Kevin, let’s get a Season 2,” she said.
For now, Marvel Studios has not yet announced Ms. Marvel Season 2. Nevertheless, people are hoping that the success of The Marvels will eventually convince the studio to renew the series so we could see more of Kamala's story in the future. Make sure to check this page for updates on this story.
