Marvel’s new Disney+ series will finally be released in two weeks, and the studio has dropped a new teaser to hype up fans even more. As Maya Lopez (Alaqua Cox) has a great distaste for Wilson Fisk/Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio), the preview reveals the similarities between the two, as the latter can’t help but compare the protagonist’s villainous ways to his wrongdoings. You can check the teaser below:

The teaser begins with the solo shots of Maya and Kingpin as the former begins her action-packed scenes, fighting off the enemies to the best of her abilities. As she tries to kill the man underneath her, Kingpin’s voice can be heard in the background.

“You and I are the same,” he says. “So, who’s the monster?” From there, a montage of scenes begins, from showing a tribe to Maya jumping off a huge truck to transfer to a smaller car.

Maya and Kingpin have a long history of doing terrible things to have their way. The first time fans met Echo in Hawkeye, she used to be Kingpin’s personal muscle, though the 2021 series, led by Jeremy Renner, saw a major confrontation between the two. Now, they would be reunited in Echo.

How to Watch Echo on Disney+?

Meanwhile, the Marvel post also comes with a reminder that Disney+ users have to set their profiles to TV-MA to stream Echo. To do this, users have to go to Edit Profiles, select which profile they want to give full TV-MA access to, select Content Rating, choose the profile’s parental rating, and select TV-MA.

Compared to other Marvel Studios’ movies and TV shows, often rated PG or PG-13, Echo gets a TV-MA—a first for a Marvel TV series. "It's our first TV-MA show, so it's a little on the grittier side for Marvel," executive producer Brad Winderbaum said during a trailer event (via Comicbook). The showrunner added that this proves what the studio is capable of, and fans who have read the comics and know Maya Lopez’s history will see the series will be very in line.

However, he admitted this is something new for the brand and Disney+. He wanted to show that the people in the series bleed, die, get killed, and face real-life consequences, sticking to a storyline that shows who Maya Lopez is.
