Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has managed to become one of the most anticipated games of the year and is set to release next month. However, the PlayStation Studios Director of Sound Design, Jeremie Villot, claims that the world is not prepared for what Insomniac Games has in store for the game. He talked about the next entry in the Insomniac Games Spider-Man series.
In a new post shared on LinkedIn, Villot talks about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and how he isn’t sure that the world is ready for what the developers are about to release. He further added that the Spider-Man game is one of their best games yet and is absolutely stunning. You can read his entire response below:
“Just want to take a minute to shout out the amazing audio team at Insomniac - such a wonderful and talented group of humans to get to work alongside. I’m not sure the world is quite prepared for what they are about to release upon it - it’s stunning, and in my humble opinion, their best work yet. Good luck getting to the finish line!”
That is a pretty bold statement, so seeing Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 live up to the claim would be an exciting experience. Fans of the series also have really high expectations from the game. From seamless character switching between Peter Parker and Miles Morales to the incorporation of the new Venom symbiote, this game really has it all. If Insomniac Games is able to successfully build upon the previous two games and live up to the fans’ expectations, Spider-Man 2 will surely be a hit.
Insomniac Games hasn’t revealed much of the game, but we are sure it is going to become a fan-favorite in no time, similar to its predecessors. Considering how much of a dark tone the previous Spider-Man games had, the new gameplay features of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, its dual gameplay protagonist system, and brand-new Brooklyn and Queens maps will help set the game apart once it launches soon.
When is Spider-Man 2 coming out?
The official Spider-Man 2 release date, as announced by Insomniac Games, is October 20, 2023. The countdown has already started, and you can pre-order the game right now from the official PlayStation store and website. Doing so will give you access to additional suits and items early on in the game when it comes out.
Since Spider-Man 2 is right around the corner, there’s a high chance players will hear many more updates about it in the coming weeks and get a better look at what’s in store for them.
