The arrival of the X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is one of the most highly anticipated moments in the franchise as Disney acquires 20th Century Fox and regains the film rights to the mutants. Fans are looking forward to this merger of worlds and who could be bigger fans than those working behind the scenes in the MCU, right? Well, Marvel boss Kevin Feige is one of those and his excitement cannot be contained as he teases the plans they have for the X-Men in the MCU.

Kevin Feige is no stranger to the X-Men as long before he became the big boss of Marvel Studios, he was a producer of the X-Men films such as X-Men, X2, and X-Men: The Last Stand. His history working with the mutants was severed when he became Marvel Studios' big boss but finally, he will be reuniting with a title dear to him now that the X-Men are coming to the MCU. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Kevin Feige teases what plans are in store for the X-Men's arrival in the MCU:

I dont know if it's delicate, it's super exciting, but the X-Men are as solid and rich and great a concept and characters that exist. (There's) the return of the animated series next year, which we're very excited about. I saw some new final episodes today which really bring you back to that core of who the X-Men are and that soap opera that those characters represent. And in live-action, people will see....perhaps, soon.

Currently, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has already introduced one mutant in the mix: Kamala Khan. In the finale of Ms. Marvel, it was revealed that instead of the comic book origin of the character being Inhuman, the MCU decided that Kamala is a mutant and the first one to be introduced as one. Now, this will be more exciting as the upcoming Deadpool 3 would be seeing the return of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. On top of all that, the X-Men '97 animated series will be arriving soon as among the upcoming Marvel shows coming in the future.

When is the X-Men arriving in the MCU?

Well, there was Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which brought Patrick Stewart's Professor Charles Xavier into the MCU as a member of the Illuminati. Also, Deadpool 3, which has been affected by the SAG-AFTRA strike being delayed indefinitely but that is certain to have the mutants as both Deadpool and Wolverine belong to such class. The Marvels arrives on November 11 with a mutant, Kamala Khan but of course, nothing beats the originals, right? With that, the MCU may introduce the X-Men after the introduction of the Fantastic Four into the current narrative.

Are you excited for the arrival of the X-Men in the MCU?
