Another K-drama is about to hit Netflix this August 2024, and it could be a new fan favorite. After the recently released Lovely Runner has fans swooning over a different kind of love story of Byeon Woo-seok and Kim Hye-yoon, Love Next Door promises viewers to fall in love with Jung Hae-in and Jung So-min as they take them on their romantic journey from childhood friends to lovers. To give a glimpse of what is in store between these two, the streamer has dropped new preview stills that perfectly capture Hae-in and So-min’s love-hate relationship.
Netflix has released eight new stills for Love Next Door, focusing on lead characters Hae-in and So-min. The preview starts with Hae-in seemingly daydreaming with So-min beside him. While Hae-in enjoys his time in the park, So-min looks at him with distaste. Hae-in shows off his toned body as he takes a dip in a pool, looking too happy. But compared to Hae-in’s positive attitude, So-min appears worried.
In the next still, the two are again together, out and about. As Hae-in tries to fix So-min’s coat, the latter seems angry when he touches her. A flashback scene is also revealed as they wear school uniforms, with Hae-in accompanying So-min in a store while she’s checking something. Hae-in looks every inch professional while working in his office and looking at someone offscreen while holding his tablet and in front of his laptop. For the last still, So-Min appears anxious again as she waits at the airport while sitting on her luggage.

What is Love Next Door about?
Love Next Door will tell the story of Seung-hyo and Seok-ryu, who cross paths again after being childhood friends. Seung-Hyo is now a renowned young architect in Korea and owns an architectural atelier called In. But despite his almost perfect life, there’s something about his past that he wants to forget, which involves Seok-Ryu.
Alternatively, Seok-ryu is a project manager in a global company. But for some reason, she decides to quit her job and return to her hometown to start anew. From there, Seok-ryu and Seung-hyo will meet again after so many years.
