Renslayer debuted in Loki Season 1 as a TVA judge. She used to be friends with Mobius, but things turned sour when the previous season ended, unveiling her as Hunter A-23, who was assigned to capture Sylvie Laufeydottir and a variant of Rebecca Tourminet, a Franklin D. In the Marvel comics, Renslayer goes by several names, like Ravonna, Nebula, Kang-Nebula, Temptress, the Mistress of Time, and Terminatrix. She comes from the kingdom of Eximietatius, where her father, King Carelius, raises her to become an ambassador to her people. However, the time comes when her life is threatened by Kang the Conqueror.
She refuses to leave her people and even plans to take her revenge against him. He later asks her hand for marriage, but she refuses. But her feelings for him changes after he chooses not to kill her father, though she ends up dying after saving Kang's life.
Alternatively, in Loki, played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Renslayer is a TVA judge. However, things start to go a downward spiral for her when she learns that she is a variant of Rebecca, who He Who Remains has abducted. Despite this big revelation, she remains to be loyal to the TVA. When Mobius tells her the org is a lie, she says it gives them “purpose.”

The last time fans saw Renslayer in Loki Season 1, she was entering a time door to find “free will,” aka He Who Remains. Though she’s yet to make her way back to Loki Season 2, it has been hinting at her backstory.
In the recent Episode 2, Breaking Bad, Loki gives more details about the old recording she heard between Renslayer and He Who Remains in the first episode. “It sounded like they were partners,” he says.
Considering he hears this after he timeslips into the past, it seems to hint that they have been in alliance long before the series’ first season. The recording also suggests that she might have joined a previous war after hearing He Who Remains, saying, “Ravonna Renslayer, you are quite a marvel. I will be proud to lead with you. You made a difference in this war. Thank you for being on my team.”
So, will fans finally see Renslayer back in the TVA in Loki Season 2? Marvel Studios has remained mum about it. But with these latest revelations about this character, many are waiting for what will happen next.
