Loki has been rumored to feature nearly an hour’s worth of brand-new material each week in the upcoming much-anticipated second season of the popular Disney+ series. Loki Season 2 will consist of a total of six episodes, out of which the runtimes for the first four episodes have surfaced. However, the runtime for the last two episodes remains a mystery.

This particular piece of information was shared by Cryptic HD Quality, a user that has been famous for accurately predicting the lengths of multiple different Disney projects, such as Ahsoka and The Mandalorian Season 3. Recently, they also revealed the runtimes for the first four episodes of Loki Season 2 on their official X account. The runtimes are as follows:

  • Episode 1 - 45 mins (39)

  • Episode 2 - 49 mins (44)

  • Episode 3 - 53 mins (48)

  • Episode 4 - 48 mins (45)

The runtime mentioned first is the complete length of the episode, whereas the number in parentheses is considered to be the runtime without the extra foreign language credits that are featured on Disney+. Although not much is known about the plot of Loki Season 2, the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania post-credits scene confirmed that Loki will come across a new Kang Variant known as Victor Timely.

After reports regarding the Kang actor Jonathan Majors’ real-life legal issues, the executive producer of Loki, Kevin Wright, recently confirmed that Marvel Studios didn’t change the second season. You can read his full response below:

"Victor Timely is somebody that we are very, very excited about. When you look at Kang, he has a very funny comic backstory. He has all these iterations. Timely was one that we've always wanted to do in Loki . And I think we're really excited about how that integrates into the season. It's a big part of the show."

Loki Season 1 Finally Releases On 4K UHD

Loki Season 1 launched on Disney+ in June 2021 and has been recently released on 4K Ultra HD as well as Blu-ray. This marks the first time that a Disney+ original series took to physical media. The 4K UHD Steelbook consisted of concept art cards and some new bonus features, such as a deleted scene featuring Chris Hemsworth, who voiced Throg (Thor’s frog version).

It was also announced that The Mandalorian, WandaVision, and more Disney+ titles will get their physical releases in the near future. Tom Hiddleston will be reprising his role in Loki Season 2 as Loki, the God of Mischief, and the Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan will be joining the cast as Ouroboros, a TVA agent working in the repairs and advancement department.
