Loki Season 2 has finally premiered with an awesome episode featuring a time-slipping God of Mischief and the near-death of one important character. However, Ouroboros also introduced some interesting new faces including Key Huy Quan's O.B. and Game of Thrones actor Kate Dickie as an important TVA officer who is hellbent on finding Sylvie.
In Loki Season 2 Episode 1, the God of Mischief realizes he has been time-slipping all over the TVA, darting between the past and the present. Amidst the confusion, the TVA officers are desperate to find order as Renslayer is still missing. This leads to an intense meeting at the War Room where General Dox tears into Hunter B-15 for revealing that they are all Variants.
On the other hand, Judge Gamble is on Hunter's side and simply wants to learn the truth. In her eagerness to stick to the rules, General Dox orders the TVA Hunters to track down Sylvie as she might be the only one who can fix the branching of the main timeline.
Not surprisingly, viewers are both loving and hating General Dox, who is committed to the TVA but might be a little in over her head. The character also happens to be portrayed by Kate Dickie, who was last seen playing an equally infuriating character in Game of Thrones. Dickie had previously portrayed Lysa Arryn in the HBO series and the character had an antagonistic role against the young Sansa Stark in the show.
But could this mean General Dox will be just as antagonistic as Lysa Arryn? For now, it looks like Dox's allegiance is firmly with the TVA and believes she is doing the right thing by calling for Sylvie's capture. However, this could change in the next few episodes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series. With that in mind, we can't wait to see what she truly is up to in Loki Season 2.
Loki Season 2 Episode 1 is titled Ouroboros and was directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. The second episode has not yet been given an official title. However, the next episode is already set to premiere on Disney+ on October 12, 2023.
