Ke Huy Quan is making his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe this year and he's one of the reasons why people are looking forward to Loki Season 2. While the upcoming season promises to reunite us with the beloved characters from Season 1, it's also introducing fresh faces, including Quan's enigmatic TVA character. Now, the mysterious OB has been included in a promotional campaign that merges the world of McDonald's and MCU. Fans were thrilled to spot OB featured prominently in his very own in-universe poster and it might reveal more about the TVA agent.
The new poster for Loki Season 2 was spotted at Loki's McDonald's pop-up along with several teasers featuring Miss Minutes. Although the poster itself confirms a collaboration with Miss Minutes, it's the only promo that doesn't actually feature Tara Strong's character. Instead, it shows OB working on an old typewriter with a broken TemPad beside him.
It doesn't seem to be much but people are understandably curious about Miss Minutes' absence in a poster that is emblazoned with her name. After all, she appears in all the other ones, right? Needless to say, people are wondering if it might have something to do with OB's true identity.
Who is OB in Loki Season 2?
It has already been established that OB is TVA's tech whiz who handles technology and repairs for the organization. Mobius M. Mobius reaches out to him in the Loki Season 2 trailer in an effort to prevent Loki from "timeskipping". In the teaser, OB stated that he has no idea why the God of Mischief has the condition and it might have something to do with the character's comic book story.
OB is loosely based on Ouroboros, a TVA agent who appears in She-Hulk Vol. 2 #3. The comic book character is revealed to be a clone of Mr. Paradox, another agent who faces off against a powerful Marvel villain.
But does this mean that Quan might play two characters in Loki Season 2? It's an interesting thought that could confirm OB's importance to the storyline. Needless to say, Marvel enthusiasts can't wait to see how Quan's character (or characters) will contribute to the ever-expanding MCU. Loki Season 2 will premiere on Disney+ on October 6, 2023.
