KonoSuba Season 3 Reveals New Poster Ahead of April 2024 Premiere

KonoSuba Season 3 released a new poster featuring Kazuma and his party.

Konosuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderful World! is finally set to return for Season 3 this Spring, and the isekai anime has released a new poster to get fans excited for its premiere. The new KonoSuba Season 3 poster features Kazuma and his party: Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness.

The production of the anime's third season will move from Studio DEEN to Drive, and veteran KonoSuba director Takaomi Kanasaki will be supervising it. KonoSuba Season 3 will be directed by Yujiro Abe, who previously directed episodes of other anime such as Great Pretender and Kaguya-sama. Makokto Uezu is in charge of the series composition while Koichi Kikuta is working on the character designs, and Masato Koda composed the anime's music.

The third season finally move the story forward after the events of the Crimson Legend film and the KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! prequel spin-off TV anime featuring Megumin before she joined Kazuma's party. Gearing up for its premiere this April, the production team shared the new poster on anime's official X account:

Who are the main cast of KonoSuba Season 3?

KonoSuba's main cast will be reprising their roles for the third season, and they include:

  • Sora Amamiya as Aqua

  • Jun Fukushima as Kazuma Sato

  • Rie Takahashi as Megumin

  • Ai Kayano as Darkness

What is KonoSuba about?

KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! anime is based on the isekai comedy light novel series  (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!) written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima, which started in 2013 and ended in 2020 with 17 volumes and two short story anthologies. Season 1 premiered in January 2016, and the second season aired in January 2017, and the KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World Legend of Crimson movie from J.C. Staff was released in 2019. During the Spring 2023 season, an adaptation of the Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! spin-off from Studio Drive aired.

Yen Press, the English publisher of the light novel series, provided the following plot description for KonoSuba:

Game loving shut-in Kazuma Sato’s life as a young schoolboy in Japan abruptly comes to an early end…or at least it was supposed to. When he opens his eyes, though, he sees a beautiful goddess that offers him a once in an after-lifetime chance to be reborn in a parallel world. The catch is that the world is violent and threatened by a growing evil! Fortunately, he can choose any one thing to bring with him. So he chooses the goddess, Aqua! And so his adventure with his gorgeous companion begins–if he could just get enough money and food to survive, keep his goddess out of trouble, and avoid grabbing the attention of the Demon King’s army!

Where to Watch KonoSuba Anime

The first two seasons of Konosuba, the An Explosion on this Wonderful World spin-off, and the Crimson Legend movie are available to stream on Crunchyroll. Expect the new episodes of Season 3 to air every week, starting in April 2024.
