KonoSuba Season 3 Release Date: When is the isekai anime returning?
On June 21, 2023, the official X (formerly Twitter) account of KonoSuba confirmed that Season 3 will be released in 2024. The release year announcement was accompanied by a new teaser visual featuring the anime's Kazuma and his party going on an adventure. "Please look forward to the continuation of the adventure woven by Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness," the tweet reads (translated from Japanese).
The production team of KonoSuba Season 3 has revealed that the anime will return in April 2024, and recently, it was confirmed that it will premiere on April, 10, 2024.
The first two seasons of the anime were released in January (2016 and 2017), but at the time of this article's publication, the production team hasn't confirmed an exact date yet.
Typically, the period between the announcement and the release of a new season spans from 12 to 18 months on average. However, Takaomi Kanasaki, the director of Konosuba, has been involved in the production of Princess Connect! Re: Dive Season 2 slated for release in 2022, as well as the KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! spin-off released earlier this year.
The director's busy schedule is likely the reason why KonoSuba Season 3 will not be released in 2023. Thankfully, fans of the beloved isekai fantasy series won't have to wait for too long for the anime to return.

KonoSuba Season 3 Cast: Who will return and who are the new voice actors?
KonoSuba Season 3 will see the return of the main characters from the previous seasons, including Satou Kazuma (voiced by Jun Fukushima) Megumin (Rie Takahashi), Aqua (Sora Amamiya), and Darkness (voiced by Ai Kayano).
The animation studio has already announced three new cast members, including Kanon Takao as Iris, Sayuri Yahagi as Claire, and Reina Ueda as Rain.

While Kazuma yearns for a tranquil existence, Aqua remains resolute in her quest to vanquish the demon king.
How many episodes will KonoSuba Season 3 have?
Before we answer this question, let's take a look back at the previous two anime seasons of KonoSuba. Season 1, which aired in 2016, consists of ten episodes; Season 2, also consists of ten episodes, aired in 2017.
Moreover, KonoSuba has garnered two OVAs and a feature film entitled KonoSuba: Legend of Crimson, which was released in 2019. The movie serves as a seamless extension of the second season, and it remains uncertain whether Season 3 will begin with it.
Earlier this year, the spin-off series KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! aired from April to June 2023, with a story centered on the characters Megumin and Yunyun. The spin-off anime consists of twelve episodes.
While the studio hasn't officially confirmed the episode count for KonoSuba Season 3, it's safe to assume that it will consist of 10 to 12 episodes. Once we get an official confirmation about its episode count, we will update this page.
Who are the creators of KonoSuba Season 3?
The first two seasons of KonoSuba were produced by Studio Deen, and J.C. Staff handled the movie. However, the third season will be produced by Studio Drive, the same studio who handled the production of the spin-off series. Takaomi Kanasaki will serve as chief director, and Yujiro Abe (episode director for Great Pretender and Kaguya-sama: Love is War) is directing the third season. Makoto Uezu is again in charge of the anime's scripts, and Koichi Kikuta is back as character designer.
