Kang Hoon and Cho Hyun-chul sat down with their full Happy Anding cast for the first time — and now viewers know exactly when the laughs begin. The upcoming tvN Friday-Saturday drama has locked in a November 6 premiere at 10:30 p.m. KST, with the network releasing behind-the-scenes footage of the drama's first script reading.

The premiere date and script-reading footage arrived through tvN's official YouTube channel, which released an EP.0 making video from the drama's first table read. The network confirmed that Happy Anding will premiere November 6 at 10:30 p.m. KST, taking over tvN's Friday-Saturday slot.

The video captures the moment the cast first sat down together, bringing together director Jung Ji-hyun, writer Ahn Ah-reum, and creator Yang Hee-seung alongside stars Kang Hoon, Cho Hyun-chul, Kim Jung-jin, Lee Yi-dam, Moon Hee, and Yoon Ga-yi. The footage shows the cast trading lines and laughing through the read, offering the first real sense of the ensemble's chemistry.

Watch the script reading video below:

Happy Anding is a coming-of-age drama about three comedians who have spent a decade struggling as unknowns. After encountering a mysterious woman, the trio sets out to find new futures for themselves. The production team summed up the story's heart in a statement released with the video: "Happy Anding is a story about young people navigating failures and setbacks together. The story of young people preparing for a new tomorrow in their own ways will offer a sense of relatable realism."

Kang Hoon leads the cast as Kang Tae-gu, the leader of the unknown comedy trio Asura. Tae-gu has spent ten years as an unknown, driven by his passion for comedy and his sense of responsibility toward his fellow members. That devotion is tested when the realities of the profession force him to face a turning point in his career as a comedian.

Cho Hyun-chul plays Kim Nam-il, another member of Asura. Nam-il has been dating his girlfriend, Lee Na-yeon, played by Moon Hee, for ten years, and his story finds him caught between his dream of becoming a comedian and the long-term relationship he doesn't want to lose.

Kim Jung-jin rounds out the trio as Han Jun-seo, Asura's manager and its most frugal member. Warm toward Tae-gu and Nam-il but closed off to nearly everyone else, Jun-seo is the trio's quiet anchor behind the scenes.

The rest of the cast fills out the world around the comedians. Lee Yi-dam plays Go Eun-young, an ardent fan of Asura who has kept her distance from the world but begins to change after becoming entangled with the trio. Moon Hee's Lee Na-yeon, with her stable background and career, finds herself shaken by the opinions of those around her about her relationship with a longtime unknown comedian. Yoon Ga-yi appears as Go Ji-young, Eun-young's younger sister, a free-spirited character who differs from her sister in nearly every way.

Behind the camera, the drama is directed by Jung Ji-hyun with scripts by Ahn Ah-reum, and Yang Hee-seung is on board as creator. The project has been positioned as a warm, realistic take on youth, failure, and second chances — a story about choosing "next" instead of giving up.
