Jujutsu Kaisen has made its name in the anime industry as one of the fan-favorites since it was released. From the manga of Gege Akutami comes the dark fantasy show produced by MAPPA which has been all over the news lately following the accusations on the studio for not treating their animators right. Now, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 18 faces a slight international streaming delay as it will only air a day after its supposed schedule.
As reported by @animejujutsu on X (formerly Twitter), Episode 42 or Season 2 Episode 18 of Jujutsu Kaisen will be distributed to streaming services on Friday, November 24th, instead of its supposed schedule on the 23rd. Meanwhile, the Japanese broadcast of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 18 will still push through as regularly scheduled on November 23rd, Thursday. This means that there will be a slight delay in the international streaming of the said episode.
Crunchyroll has not released an official statement yet regarding the delay of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 18. No reason has been given as to why the international streaming of the said episode will not push through as scheduled. Recently, MAPPA has been in knots as their animators revealed the alleged inhumane work schedules they were subjected to, and that the studio was stalling the payments of their animators. However, this issue may not be the reason why the episode got delayed because it would come out as scheduled in Japan which means that their animators made it before the episodes goes on air.
What will Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 18 be about?
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 18 is expected to continue what remains in the Shibuya Incident Arc and it will reportedly focus on Nanami who surprisingly survived the assault of Jogo few episodes back. Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 17 revealed that Nanami is still alive, though not unscathed, as he had suffered serious burns which nearly burnt half of his body. Other than that, the previous episode witnessed the battle between Sukuna and Shikigami in the Shibuya district where Sukuna won the battle and in turn, saved Fushiguro's life. Yuji also regains control over his body and he was left devastated with what Sukuna did to the district.
