People are already expecting great things in House of the Dragon Season 2. After all, the second season of the Game of Thrones prequel will show the first battles in the Dance of the Dragons. However, a new photo taken from the set has confirmed that the HBO series is deviating from George R.R. Martin's book in a huge way.

We already know that House of the Dragon wouldn't be a direct adaptation of Fire and Blood considering that the novel is based on the accounts of the Maesters who were close to the Targaryens. The series made it clear by showing what truly happened in the events that led up to the Dance of the Dragons. Still, the latest update from the set of the second season reveals that the show will visit a location that wasn't in the book.

The new set photo from House of the Dragon Season 2 has surfaced on Twitter and it clearly shows that there is a depiction of The Wall. It's a surprise for fans since the Dance of the Dragons doesn't venture out THAT far into the North. On the other hand, there might be a simple explanation as to why we will be seeing The Wall in the second season.

In the House of the Dragon Season 1 finale, Rhaenyra Targaryen sends her two sons to act as messengers. Lucerys Velaryon is sent to Storm's End (and we all know how THAT ends) while Jacerys Velaryon heads for Winterfell. There, Jace is set to become good friends with Lord Cregan Stark and since boys will be boys, there is a possibility that they will be taking a dragon ride to see the North's opposite of a tourist attraction.
