Another intriguing title for anime aficionados was Heavenly Delusion, also known as Tengoku Daimakyou, which came out last spring. Thanks to mangaka Masakazu Ishiguro, the post-apocalyptic setting offered viewers a new feeling of wonder and excellent world-building. Production I.G. subsequently adapted his work, publishing a total of 13 episodes for its debut season. Now that Season 1 has concluded, fans can anticipate Heavenly Delusion: Season 2.

For starters, the plot is separated between two storylines, one with the characters Maru and Kiruko as they travel across a post-apocalyptic world and the other focusing on a group of children who reside in a school. The series was inspired by a manga Ishiguro read in university, with the goal of setting it apart from his previous work, And Yet the Town Moves, and capturing a realistic dynamic between the two leads as well as the evil they battle.

Unanswered is whether Heavenly Delusion: Season 2 will actually take place. You may also be curious about the story's future after the conclusion of the first season. As fans await more details, here is everything we know so far about the yet-to-be-confirmed Heavenly Delusion: Season 2.

Unfortunately, Heavenly Delusion: Season 2 doesn't have a release date. The creators have not officially confirmed whether a second season will be produced. Despite possible X (formerly Twitter) leaks indicating otherwise, it may not be released for some time.

Even though Heavenly Delusion: Season 2 won't be out anytime soon, it might still happen, given how well the anime was received and how well the manga is doing. However, for the time being, supporters shouldn't get their expectations up too high until they hear from the studio officially about the renewal. If it continues the previous season, Heavenly Delusion: Season 2 is expected to premiere globally on Disney+.

Heavenly Delusion wouldn't be the same without the endearing, rival couple Kiruko and Maru. We anticipate that Sayaka Senbongi, whose English voice actor is Anjali Kunapaneni, and Gen Satô, whose English voice actor is Jonathan Leon, will return to their respective roles for a second season because the two are still committed to finding Heaven.

The following are also anticipated characters to make a comeback in Heavenly Delusion Season 2, as per Digital Spy, including Kona voiced by Toshiyuki Toyonaga (Japanese) and AJ Beckles (English); Mimihime voiced by Misato Fukuen(Japanese) and Tia Ballard (English); Shiro voiced by Shunsuke Takeuchi (Japanese) and Hao Feng (English); Taka voiced by Yuuki Shin (Japanese) / John Choi (English); Anzu voiced by Misato Matsuoka (Japanese) and Courtney Lin (English); Dr. Sawatari voiced by Tadashi Muto (Japanese) and Nick Martineau (English); and Aoshima voiced by Atsumi Tanezaki (Japanese) and Jennifer Sun Bell (English).

Since Tokio showed the first indications of some Hiroku characteristics in order to shield her child from the insane Director, their fates are intertwined. It is improbable that Tokio perished in the offensive, even though the Director might have. A question for the plot of Heavenly Delusion Season 2 is whether or not this Hiroku alteration will be entirely physical and permanent.

It does, however, raise doubts about the return of Masako Isobe voiced by Anzu Lawson and Hibiku Yamamura (Japanese); Tokio voiced by Brittany Lauda (English) and the Director, respectively. Even if Kazuya Nakai, voiced by Eric Vale, is genuinely horrible, we would like to see him return as Robin, if only so that he might suffer. After all, he has a lot of baggage.

Heavenly Delusion Season 2 Spoilers: What is the story of the next season?

Unfortunately, no official details have been released about the plot of the rumored Heavenly Delusion Season 2, especially since it has yet to be confirmed. Regardless, the Season 1 finale left many questions unanswered.

For example, did Tokio turn completely into a man-eater, and was the child she was holding truly her own or a genetic duplicate? When Dr. Sawatari gave the baby back to its mother, he didn't exactly give us the impression that he knew which kid was which.

Furthermore, since we now know that the events at the Takahara Academy occurred in the past, it is also possible that Maru is the son of Tokio and Kono, which would account for his Hiroku skills. We also require a second season to resolve the post-credit scenario.

On a boat, Mimihime, Taka, Shiro, and Anzu, the missing pupils, are seen traveling to a location that is not at all post-apocalyptic. It's confirmed that these events happened in the past because we're talking about gorgeous skyscrapers and a glamorous metropolis bathed in bright light.

One of our main theories is that these kids are the modern-day equivalent of the man-eaters in the myth, and their existence is what causes the world to end. When combined with another well-known fan theory—that Doctor Usami from "Immortal Order" episode seven could be Shiro and that Mimihime was actually his lover—it's not too far-fetched.

Mimihime saw visions of a future in which she would be pierced by needles that were connected to tubes in equipment. Dr. Usami clarified that his lover's limbs and other body parts were removed in the present, and she was hooked up to machinery to keep her from turning into a man-eater.

In addition, the whole Robin Inazaki matter needs to be resolved. Unfortunately, Maru's beating of Robin to keep Kiruko safe from additional sexual assault did not exact much revenge on him; hence, we suspect that Heavenly Delusion Season 2 will bring about his real retaliation. Viewers will also need to understand his intentions for this monstrosity and the reason behind his covert attachment of a braindead and lifeless woman to a particularly hideous-looking man-eater.

It is not surprising that Kiruko's mental state was severely affected by Robin's rape of her. She started to doubt her already shattered identity as a result, sending her into a downward spiral. Her realization of this contradiction inside herself will most likely be a significant theme in the narrative of Heavenly Delusion Season 2.
