While fans were excited after watching the GTA 6 trailer leaks, it looks like a developer for Halo didn’t feel the same way. He shared his frustration online, asking his fellow developers to "please just let cool moments be cool moments." November 8 kicked off with a report claiming that GTA 6 might get announced “as early as this week” with a trailer in the coming month. Fast forward to a few hours, Rockstar Games officially confirmed that the first GTA trailer will launch in December.
While this was some amazing news for GTA fans, it didn’t sit quite well with the community manager of Halo, John Junyszek, at 343 Industries. Junyszek quoted the original report and highlighted that the leak was revealed by people who "weren’t authorized to speak publicly" about the much-anticipated project. He then said, "Don't be this person." Sharing his point-of-view as a developer, Junyszek then wrote, "If you're ever fortunate enough to work on a game that millions of people care about - don't be this person." The tweet reads:
He further continued, "Rather than being a spectacular surprise - you are now an expectation. All because of one person. Don't be that person." One can imagine where the developer might be coming from. GTA 6 fans are busy enjoying the news of a trailer coming in December, but it would have been a lot more exciting if the announcement trailer had just shown up on our screen without us having any idea of when it was coming.
However, now fans are going to have their timer on and will be counting down the days to December until the trailer officially releases. Nevertheless, GTA fans will be getting what they have wanted for a long time now, i.e., a Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer. Interestingly, this isn’t the first time that different developers have spoken up to support the GTA developers, Rockstar Games.
After the massive 90+ GTA 6 video leak that took place last year, employees from several development companies, such as CD Projekt Red, Naughty Dog, and a lot more, supported the studio online. Unfortunately, what’s done has been done, and now we are eagerly awaiting the release of the first GTA 6 traile, which is confirmed early next month.
