The first GTA 6 is finally going to be revealed next month! After years of rumors, leaks, and speculation in the Grand Theft Auto fan community, Rockstar Games has finally shared an update on when to expect the first trailer for the "next Grand Theft Auto" game to release. The official update Sam Houser, the co-founder and president of Rockstar Games,

"We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto," Houser tweeted in the official X account of Rockstar Games. "We look forward to many more years of sharing these experiences with you."

The first GTA 6 trailer reveal will coincide with the celebration of Rockstar's 25th Anniversary, and the news follows what the sources speaking to Bloomberg, who said that Grand Theft Auto VI will be announced "as early as this week," and that the announcement will reportedly be followed by a trailer.

Although the GTA franchise isn't immune to leaks, they are few, and Rockstar is usually relentless in making sure that the spread of information is limited while the leakers are found. Various leaks we previously reported revealed gameplay elements that could make it to GTA 6, but none of them have been officially confirmed, so Rockstar's announcement about the game's first trailer is definitely the kind of update fans have been waiting for as we will finally get an official look at one of the most highly-anticipated games.

What to expect from the first GTA 6 trailer

Based on leaks, GTA 6 will be set in a modernized Vice City, Rockstar's fictionalized version of Miami, so it's likely that the first trailer will reveal what the world of the game will look like. The trailer might also introduce the two alleged lead characters of GTA 6: Jason and Lucia, who are said to be inspired by Bonnie and Clyde, the American criminal duo who traveled the Central USA with their gang during the Great Depression. It's worth noting that Rockstar did not specifically reveal the title of the next GTA game, so the trailer might unveil the official title.

The trailer could also give us a glimpse of the vehicles, weapons, and new gameplay elements we can expect from GTA 6. Last month, a leaker claimed that his wife works at Rockstar Games, and shared details about the rumored GTA 6 trailer, but Rockstar hasn't officially confirmed if any of those details will show up in their big reveal next month. The videogame platforms for the game will likely be revealed as well, and it's expected to be for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, with the PC release expected at a later date. Of course, a release date or at least a release window will likely be revealed as well, and it'll likely be sometime in late 2024 or sometime in 2025, according to multiple rumors.
