The latest GTA Online update has provided fans with a glimpse of one of the most iconic locations ever featured in the GTA series. The GTA franchise has been around for more than 20 years now and it’s one of the oldest pop culture staples. The game has taken players all over the fictional version of the United States and even overseas in an early entry of the franchise.
Rockstar Games has made a name for itself in open-world gaming with its ability to develop actual worlds full of life. So far, we’ve been to San Andreas (California), Liberty City (New York), and Vice City (Miami). However, we’ve looked at some other areas of the country in these GTA games, such as North Yankton in GTA 5’s prologue, which showcases a picture of midwestern life in the game’s universe.
There is one place that fans have been waiting to see the return of in GTA’s latest era: Las Venturas, the franchise’s take on Las Vegas. The city was last featured in GTA: San Andreas but was absent when Rockstar returned to that setting in GTA 5. We aren’t sure if they meant to bring Las Venturas back or if it was something they never even considered. However, the latest GTA Online update has hinted at the iconic city.
GTA Online’s newest Chop Shop update allows players to steal some cars, and one of these cars features a Las Venturas license plate. This is the only notable nod to the epic city in GTA 5. There are pretty low chances of players visiting Las Venturas anytime soon since GTA Online is possibly winding down with the approach of GTA 6’s release, which itself is set in Leonida/Vice City.
Moreover, GTA Online hasn’t expanded its map with any major cities, but we did get a brand-new island some years ago. However, it is quite desolate and mostly used for heisting instead of exploring or simply hanging out. If we’re fortunate enough, GTA 6 might just give us enough space for us to travel to some other locations and perhaps give us the chance to visit Las Venturas. However, we shouldn’t hold on to this since the locations are quite far apart from each other.
Where can players purchase police vehicles from in GTA Online?
Owing to the latest GTA Online update, players can now get their hands on some police vehicles for the first time ever. Fans can purchase three police vehicles from Warstock Cache & Carry, the in-game online store where gamers can buy military vehicles once they’ve met the unlock requirements.
The three police vehicles are Stanier LE Cruiser, Unmarked Cruiser, and Police Riot, with the last one being an absolute monster. Although completing the requirements to unlock this vehicle might come as a challenge to players, that makes it all the more satisfying when you do eventually get the vehicle. Hopefully, we’ll see some of that action in the upcoming GTA 6 game, too, which may or may not feature its own online mode.
GTA 6 is set to launch in 2025 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
