Grand Theft Auto 6’s open world will reportedly turn out to be the most detailed one we have ever seen in any GTA game so far. In February 2022, Rockstar Games announced that the upcoming Grand Theft Auto game was in active development. Ever since the announcement, the developers have gone silent and in hiding without revealing any official details regarding the game.
So, fans have no other source to rely on for GTA 6 information except for leaks and speculations. Since players have been waiting for quite some time now, they have gotten impatient, which can be seen through their actions, such as fans rushing onto live TV shows and trying to leak gameplay information about Grand Theft Auto 6.
The latest leak that surfaced online shows the open-world map of GTA 6, but it is important to know that it is not official. After looking at the map, fans went back to different gameplay leaks from last year and created multiple reference points in order to fill the gaps. So now, they know what to expect from the game’s map, and as it turns out, it’s filled with multiple cities and towns.
Even though this map isn’t real, sometimes leaks can also end up getting introduced, which is what happened with Grand Theft Auto 5. A leaker revealed the entire map, which was nearly identical to the actual map that fans later saw in the game. So, there’s some space for you to hope! From the leak, you can see that the GTA 6 map consists of several airports, towns, points of interest, and cities.
Since the game is going to take place in Vice City (which is all but confirmed), the presence of airports suggests that the rumors regarding traveling to other countries might come true. The previous GTA games also consist of airports, but they don’t allow players to go abroad, so this might end up coming true, or it might not. We’ll know for sure once the game actually releases.
A fan went ahead and commented on the leak, saying, “Ayo? Looks so cool if this is it,” whereas another fan said, “I like how they have different cities.” A third fan also decided to join in and shared his views on the rumored open-world map of GTA 6, claiming, “Looks fantastic. I like that the urban and rural areas are more interspersed, as opposed to sorted into two sections like in GTAV.”
The last we heard, the release date for Grand Theft Auto 6 was once again teased by Take-Two Interactive, so this game might launch during the Fiscal Year 25. However, the announcements for the game might start pouring in soon, so fingers crossed!
