With time, GTA 6 is starting to become a sore spot for many fans anticipating the game’s arrival but not receiving any information as to when it might actually come out. Rockstar Games has been keeping any and all details about the upcoming game a secret from players, and haven’t even officially announced the game yet. While the developers remain tight-lipped about GTA 6, many rumors and leaks have been giving us an idea as to what one might expect from the highly-anticipated game.
The latest leak is about the RAGE engine of Grand Theft Auto 6 and comes through a report by Rockstar Mag. As per the report, the game’s RAGE engine will receive a huge upgrade, one that’s much bigger as compared to the one GTA 5 received when shifting to Red Dead Redemption 2.
The recent report claims that the GTA 6 RAGE engine is going to feature much better AI, overhauled physics, real time management, and much more! As per the sources of Rockstar Mag, the graphics gap is set to be huge in comparison to the previous Rockstar Games projects. On top of this, the developers are also working on some significant upgrades related to physics.
Coming over to vehicles, many leaks and rumors suggest that Rockstar has made plenty of changes to them since GTA 5. The report reads, “Many improvements have been made to vehicle physics thanks to a significant increase in the number of polygons compared to GTA 5. This will allow for more precise deformations, and therefore by extension, more realistic accidents.”
The water physics and lighting might also receive some massive upgrades in GTA 6, which is a huge deal when talking about realism considering the game might be set in Vice City. These upgrades would link together and form a realistic weather system that’s going to affect the game’s world by making it challenging for players to drive during a storm.
The report states, “The gusts will damage the vegetation and create waves which will disrupt the peace and quiet of beach occupants. Rain and wind will impact your handling while traveling at high speed. Sunrises and sunsets will be more realistic than ever and nights more disturbing.”
What’s interesting is that it looks like the latest report suggesting GTA 6 will feature unique weather systems somehow links back to a 2021 job listing by Rockstar Games which hinted that the game is going to feature “large-scale destruction.” This increases the chances of this leak actually coming true. However, once again these leaks and reports shouldn’t be taken seriously since nothing has been officially confirmed.
