Evan Peters has been on a roll for the past two years. He returned as Peter Maximoff aka Quicksilver in WandaVision in 2021 before turning in an amazing portrayal of the serial killer in the Netflix series Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story. So what's in store for the future? Peters revealed that he wants to work on a Marvel Cinematic Universe film but his reason is not what you think it is.
Peters first played Quicksilver in 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past, taking part in the film's most memorable scene. He would later reprise the role in two more X-Men films and even had a cameo in Deadpool 2. Still, his unexpected return in WandaVision was a welcome one although it was later revealed that his character is actually Ralph Bohner.
He clearly enjoys playing Quicksilver and Evan Peters admitted to Deadline that he is eager to take part in more MCU projects. "I'd be in another Marvel movie," he said. Peters then shared why he wants to keep working in the MCU.
"I think for me, Dahmer was really the last sort of dark character that I'm going to play for an extended period of time. So it was sort of a send-off to that time of working hard on things like that, and now I'm going to try to pivot. Anything in the light I'm just trying to stay out of the darkness for a while," he said.
It is not a huge surprise that Evan Peters wants to work on more Marvel projects. After all, these movies promise a huge paycheck for any actor. However, it's also great to know that Peters is set on pursuing films that are fun and exciting instead of working on projects with dark themes. With that in mind, we're hoping Peters gets to return as Ralph Bohner or Quicksilver in the future.
Will Quicksilver Return in Agatha: Coven of Chaos?
We already know that Ralph Bohner is connected to Agatha Harkness and there is a huge possibility that he could reappear in the WandaVision spin-off series. However, Marvel Studios and Disney have not yet confirmed whether Peters will reprise his role in the new show. Still, fans are hoping that they haven't seen the last of Evans just yet.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos will bring back Kathryn Hahn, Debra Jo Rupp, and Patti LuPone. It will consist of nine episodes and will be part of MCU's Phase Five. For now, the series has not yet been given an official release date but is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2024.
