Deadpool & Wolverine is expected to feature several surprising cameos, and a number of major Marvel and X-Men characters are allegedly set to appear. There have been undying cameo rumors surrounding the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, from the alleged appearance of the original X-Men stars to Taylor Swift allegedly appearing as Dazzler. But if there’s one appearance fans want to see, it’s probably Dafne Keen reprising her role as X-23. Though nothing is confirmed yet, the Star Wars: The Acolyte actress addresses the claims.
In an interview with ComicBook to promote The Acolyte, Keen shared her reaction to fans who wanted to see her return as X-23, seven years after her first appearance as the artificially created mutant Laura Kinney in Logan. The 2017 film was supposed to be Hugh Jackman’s final outing as Wolverine, but the actor’s return in Deadpool & Wolverine also made viewers want to see Keen as X-23. Though she didn’t give anything away, she felt proud of being part of a huge franchise that people wanted her to return.
“What goes through your head is, first of all, how cool that something is that big that it seeps and it bleeds into other projects,” she said. “And how cool it is that I got to be a part of something that had such a huge legacy that almost ten years later, I'm still being asked about, and that just feels pretty huge.”
Dafne Keen Expresses Excitement Over Deadpool & Wolverine
Like fans, Keen is excited to see Deadpool & Wolverine in theaters. She can’t help but react to its epic trailer and talk about its lead actors, Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, expressing her love for the two. However, like in her other interviews, she remains coy about her alleged cameo in the threequel.
“I mean, I'm very excited to watch it. The trailer is incredible — we all agree that the trailer is incredible?” she said at this year’s CCXP MX event via Omelette. “I love Ryan Reynolds. I love Hugh Jackman. Obviously, he is like my second father, like my fake dad. Matthew Macfadyen, Emma Corrin, it is insane; I am very excited to watch it.”
Will Dafne Keen appear as X-23 in Deadpool & Wolverine?
Though it remains to be seen if Keen will appear as X-23 in Deadpool & Wolverine, there are high hopes for her appearance in the movie. Her character has been a big part of Logan, and many want to see her return as a grown-up X-23 after playing the role when she was young.
If this happens, seeing Laura and Logan’s reunion will give the movie a father-daughter dynamic that will make it more emotional. Also, now that the film is part of the MCU, introducing X-23 to the Multiverse may make her a part of Marvel Studios’ planned X-Men reboot.
Keen neither denies nor confirms her possible appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine, which some see as a hint of her cameo. If she indeed appears as X-23, it will be one of the greatest cameos that the movie will feature.
