There are a lot of questions about Deadpool 3 but it seems like the biggest one right now involves Taylor Swift. The pop star has long been rumored to play Marvel hero Dazzler in the upcoming film but is it truly happening? Director Shawn Levy finally addressed the speculations although his statement continues to be coy.
For over a year, the rumor mill has been churning with the tantalizing idea that Taylor Swift might make a cameo appearance in the highly anticipated Deadpool 3. It all began when fans noticed that Ryan Reynolds' announcement of Hugh Jackman's appearance as Wolverine in the film was filmed in the same house as Swift's All Too Well: The Short Film. However, things heated up recently when Swift was seen alongside Reynolds, Jackman, and Deadpool 3 director Shawn Levy at an NFL game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Jets.
When asked about their shared attendance at the game, Levy neither confirmed nor denied the speculation regarding Taylor Swift's potential role as Dazzler in the third installment of Deadpool.

“They sure are loud,” Levy said of Taylor Swift's fans (via TheWrap). “I’m going across the board. ‘No comment’ because that’s a double whammy. That’s Taylor-related. And it’s MCU-related. I’m no dummy. You’re going to have to wait and see.”
While Levy is keeping mum about Swift's involvement, he had nothing but praise for the artist. He previously collaborated with Swift on All Too Well: The Short Film and drew a comparison between her and the legendary Steven Spielberg, lauding her as a "generational voice and creative force" in the entertainment industry.
As fans eagerly await to see if Swift will grace Deadpool 3 with her presence, she's already making waves at the box office. Her film, Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, is now in theaters, and the box office numbers unequivocally prove that this concert film is the life of the party. The documentary has already earned over $97 million in its opening weekend alone and there is little doubt that that kind of star power is something Marvel truly needs now.
Shawn Levy also cast doubt on Deadpool 3's 2024 release date. The director revealed that although the sequel was initially confirmed for a May 2024 premiere, they are only halfway through with production. Nevertheless, Deadpool 3 is currently set to hit theaters on May 3, 2024.
