Daredevil will finally make his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut when Daredevil: Born Again premieres on Disney+ next year. Charlie Cox, who played Marvel's street-level superhero in the first Daredevil television series, will reprise his role as Matt Murdock / Daredevil in the upcoming MCU series. While story details for Born Again are still being kept under wraps, a new rumor may have hinted who the villain for the first part of the series will be.
It's already known that Vincent D'Onofrio, who played the villainous Wilson Fisk / Kingpin in the first Daredevil series, will also reprise his role, and it's likely that the new series will focus on the conflict between him and Daredevil, but according to Twitter influencer and writer, Daniel Richtman, there will be another villain for the first part of Daredevil: Born Again, and that villain is Muse.
Note that this claim is just a rumor and not officially confirmed by Marvel Studios, so until we get more official information about the Daredevil: Born Again, treat it as it is: a rumor. With that being said, it would be interesting to see Muse battle Daredevil for the first time in live-action form. Who is Muse in the Daredevil comics?
First appearing in Marvel Comics' Daredevil (Vol. 5) #11, Muse was portrayed to be a mysterious, deranged artist who created gruesome works of art. In that comic, Matt Murdock discovered Muse's second "artwork", and after leaving the scene where people unveiled his new art for the first time, he changed to his Daredevil suit to confront the villain. However, Muse used a dummy grenade to drive him off, and made his escape.
What are the Muse's powers?
In Marvel's Daredevil Vol. 5 #12, it was revealed that Muse has the power of imperceptibility. The villain's body acts like a vortex which can pull in so much sensory information around him, making even Daredevil's enhanced senses difficult to target him.
The Daredevil comics also revealed that Muse is an expert combatant with superhuman strength and superhuman speed.
When is Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 coming to Disney+?
The first season of Daredevil Born: Again is currently scheduled to premiere on Disney+ in early 2024. An official premiere date hasn't been announced yet, but we do know that Season 1 will consist of 18 episodes, and will be part of Phase 5 of the MCU. Season 2 is also currently being planned.
