Cyberpunk 2077’s Update 2.0 might be much closer than you expected. Cyberpunk 2077 has become a popular game in the last couple of months and many people, players or not, know a lot about it because of its controversial nature. CD Projekt Red released Cyberpunk 2077 in December 2020 after years of promises, trailers, and plenty of hype.

Unfortunately, the game turned out to be a massive disappointment at the start. Even though a bunch of PC players did not face any major issues, the game was a disaster on consoles and had to face mass refunds. Not only this but the game was also completely removed from the PlayStation Store for a couple of months. That part wasn’t so fun and Cyberpunk 2077 underwent plenty of updates. However, now the game is receiving one final update before the developers shift their complete focus on what comes next.

Although there are going to be additional patches, Update 2.0 is a massive content update that greatly overhauls the game’s elements. CD Projekt Red has been hyping up the update for a long time now. With Phantom Liberty’s release right around the corner, fans are busy wondering when the update will be released so they can explore all the different features. The exciting news is that it’ll come five days before Phantom Liberty, so players can start playing Cyberpunk 2077's Update 2.0 on September 21.

The update is completely free, so the gamers who have the game on PC and current-gen consoles can play if they have updated their game. If you’re going to play it on PC, then keep CD Projekt Red’s warning in mind that the game might just push your PC to its limits.

What to expect from Cyberpunk 2077's Update 2.0?

Update 2.0 is all set to give Cyberpunk 2077 a huge revamp, and the following are some things you can expect from the update:

  • A huge overhaul of Cyberpunk 2077’s perk system, alongside some new perks. All the perks will be reset and players can fully respec their character with previously gained skill points in order to accommodate the new skill trees.

  • A revamped police system with much more aggressive responses from the law depending on the player’s wanted level. Police will ramp players off the road, set up roadblocks, and even send bosses for gamers who have a really high level.

  • Combat AI modifications

  • UI modifications

  • Cyberpunk 2077 will feature vehicular combat, allowing players to shoot pistols and SMGs out of their car’s window. On bikes, there’s the advantage of melee weapons being able to slice tires and opponents. You can also target drivers/passengers, tires, and fuel tanks, and get into car chases while firing at the people after you. Players can also hack vehicles to malfunction.

  • Revamped cyberware system

  • Loot, items, and crafting changes
