The hit Netflix series Bridgerton has been known for featuring the love story of a Bridgerton sibling every new season. The first season focused on Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset, while the second season put the spotlight on Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma. As Bridgerton Season 3 will feature the tale of Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington, showrunner Jess Brownell teases the third season’s ending will set the stage for Season 4’s next couple.
In an interview with TV Insider, Brownell was asked which Bridgerton sibling would lead Bridgerton Season 4. Though the series’ writer just played coy about it, she teased that Bridgerton Season 3’s ending would hint at whose romance would play next.
“I won’t give you anything, but I do think -there are some clues at the end of Season 3 of where we’re headed,” Brownell said. “So yeah, I leave that to fans to pick apart, but I think we’re tipping our hand just a little bit.”
In Julia Quinn’s book, on which the show is based, each of the eight Bridgertons meets the love of their lives. However, the Netflix adaptation has changed the order of things, with the third season focusing on Colin and Penelope instead of Benedict Bridgerton and Sophie Beckett, who’s yet to be introduced in the show.
Which Bridgerton sibling will lead Bridgerton Season 4?
Bridgerton Season 3 is yet to be released, but fans are already wondering whose love story they will see next. The show received an early Season 4 renewal; thus, another Bridgerton sibling will surely take the lead. Now that the three of them have found their significant others, the next one could be Benedict, Eloise, or Francesca Bridgerton.
If Netflix decides to follow the book’s order, it may focus on Benedict and Sophie in Bridgerton Season 4. Benedict has quit art school, which may thrust him into the spotlight and give him a bigger role next season. If this happens, Sophie may be finally introduced.
However, if the streamer once again skips the story of the second Bridgerton son, Eloise’s romance with Sir Phillip Crane could follow. As Bridgerton Season 2 heavily focuses on her and Penelope’s broken friendship, their possible reconciliation may be the perfect way to pass the story onto Eloise.
There’s also Francesca. As the promotional materials for Bridgerton Season 3 hint at a bigger role for Fran, her romantic relationship with Michael Stirling may be finally told.
Bridgerton Season 3 will be divided into two parts, with Part 1 set to release on May 16, 2024, and Part 2 on June 13, 2024, on Netflix. By the looks of it, fans must wait a little longer to know who among Benedict, Eloise, and Francesca will lead Bridgerton Season 4.
