Bridgerton Season 3 is almost here. Netflix is now gearing up for its hit series’ upcoming release, and it’s starting to bring on the heat. After a long wait, the streamer has dropped its official trailer, showing how Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington’s (Nicola Loughlan) love story will begin, as the former is slowly falling for the youngest Featherington while helping her find a husband.

The almost three-minute trailer starts with the series’ signature grand ballroom, with Lady Danbury welcoming the dearest gentle reader after being apart for far too long as Penelope appears on the screen. London’s fashionable set has finally returned, as the senior matron assumes that their elegant style is “moving with the changing tide,” and so is the author herself. As Penelope declares that she can’t live at home anymore, she decides to take a husband.
But as Colin appears, he's seen kissing another woman’s hand. The two then meet, but Penelope looks awkward, confusing Colin about whether something is wrong. The next scene shows Penelope losing her confidence as no man notices her amid her desperate search for a spouse. Colin then offers to help her, sealing a deal between them with a handshake.
Hopeless, Penelope tells Colin that she will never be angry if he finds her a “lost cause.” He then tries to boost her confidence by saying she must never forget who she is. As Eloise asks her brother if Penelope is looking for a husband in him, the latter starts to ponder his feelings. Penelope is then seen stunning everyone with her newfound confidence as she attends the ball with a new look. There, she meets Lord Debling, who’s also looking for a wife. Seeing Debling and Penelope often together makes Colin jealous, making him ask his mom, “Do you believe the best foundation for love is friendship?”
What is Bridgerton Season 3 about?
Bridgerton Season 3 will feature Penelope and Colin’s story as their friendship may turn into a romantic relationship. Tired of everything at home, Penelope decides to take a husband but loses her confidence as no man seems interested in her. Colin then arrives to help her. Despite her hate for him after hearing him tell his friends he will never court her, she accepts it. But amid their lessons, the two will find themselves falling for each other. Things will never be easy for them, though. With Penelope’s rift with Eloise and the coming of a new suitor, Lord Debling, how Penelope and Colin continue their love remains to be seen.
