Black Mirror fans, rejoice! The renewal of Black Mirror Season 7 is finally made official and the hit series is guaranteed to return on Netflix! The long wait is over as after the extended hiatus of the series, it is back on track after the release of Season 6. While only the renewal status of the series has been revealed, this, itself, is enough to bring excitement to all the fans that are looking forward for more!

One of Netflix's recent staple titles is Black Mirror, a British anthology television show which brings speculative fiction to life through near-future dystopias mixed with sci-fi technology. Created by Charlie Brooker, each episode of Black Mirror is different from one another as it takes various stories in one show. Its recent release is Black Mirror Season 6 which was packed by more unsettling stories with high caliber cast members such as Salma Hayek, Annie Murphy, Josh Hartnett, and Aaron Paul among other notable names.

Now, as reported by Variety, Black Mirror Season 7 has finally received a green light and it will be back on Netflix sooner or later. Unfortunately, that is the only thing confirmed by Netflix as there has been no name revealed yet for the casting of the series. Also kept under wraps are the plot details and number of episodes for Season 7. If there's something that is quite certain, it would be the return of Charlie Brooker, Annabel Jones, and Jessica Rhoades as the executive producer of the series.

To date, there is still no word as regards the synopsis of the episodes nor the episode count of Black Mirror Season 7. Following what happened in the past six season, it could be expected that Black Mirror Season 7 will be bringing more stories with unsettling twists headed by A-list names in Hollywood, and a diversity of genres through its episodes. Black Mirror has always been a short series for every season so it could also be expected that Season 7 could have a range of 3 to 6 episodes as per the previous releases.

The dystopian series is best known for picking on disturbing predictions of the future in depressing ways and the topics of the episodes are usually dealing with current issues with future implications. An example of which is an episode in Season 6 which dealt with the rise of the use of AI and that issue became a subject of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes later on. This trend could be continued by Black Mirror Season 7.
