
Lucasfilm and Disney have released the final trailer for the second and final season of Andor Season 2 ahead of the show's Disney+ premiere on April 22. The 80-second sneak peek sets the stage for the war between the Rebels and the Empire, and the footage shows that the highly-anticipated sequel has the scope and feel of a real cinematic trailer, which is fitting for the second season's unique movie-like release schedule.
The final trailer shows familiar faces, including Ben Mendelsohn's villainous Director Orson Krennic as he continues to work on the Death Star as Rebellion grows desperate as the series draws closer to the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. There's also a whole platoon of KX-series security droids, and sweeping views, with a good amount of CGI. Diego Luna's Cassian Andor looks determined to fight the Empire, and the stakes are raised as the Rebels finally understand what they're up against. Watch the final trailer for Andor Season 2 below:

Andor Season 2 is confirmed to have a total of 12 episodes. Three new episodes will be released weekly starting on April 22, with the final three episodes releasing on Disney+ on May 13, 2025.

What is Andor Season 2 about?
Andor series is a prequel to 2016's Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which is a prequel to the first Star Wars film in the franchise, Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope. The story of Andor takes place after the events of Episode III, during the rise of the Galactic Empire, and five years before the events of Rogue One. The show is focused on the construction of the Death Star, which is prominently featured in the first trailer.
"While Season 1 followed Cassian’s reluctant journey from cynical nobody to revolutionary volunteer, the long-awaited conclusion in Andor Season 2 will see the characters and their relationships intensify as the horizon of war draws near and Cassian becomes a key player in the Rebel Alliance," the official synopsis in a previous press release teased. "Everyone will be tested and, as the stakes rise, the betrayals, sacrifices and conflicting agendas will become profound."
Andor Season 2 stars Diego Luna, Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Kyle Soller, Denise Gough, Adria Arjona, Faye Marsay, Alan Tudyk, Elizabeth Dulau, Varada Sethu, with Forest Whitaker and Ben Mendelsohn. Tony Gilroy created the series, and he also executive-produced it along with Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg, John Gilroy, Luke Hull, and Diego Luna
