Before Indian-American actor Karan Soni played Spider-Man India in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, he became Deadpool's cab driver, Dopinder, in the first two Deadpool movies from 20th Century Fox, and he will be reprising his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Deadpool 3 when it releases in theaters next year. Given how the Deadpool films often break the fourth wall and jokes with references to other movies, fans want to know if Spider-Man India will be referenced in the highly-anticipated threequel starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman.

Now, Karan Soni has something to say about that possibility. During a recent chat with YouTuber The Movie Dweeb, Soni talked about his experience playing the role of Pavitr Prabhakar, also known as Spider-Man India in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and even though he didn't talk about his return as Dopinder in Deadpool 3, he responded when asked if Spider-Man India will be referenced in the movie.

Will Spider-Man India be referenced in Deadpool 3?

“They are aware of it, but I would not dare tell Mr. Ryan Reynolds what to do. Whatever he does will be very good," Soni said. You can watch the clip from The Movie Dweeb's interview via Culture Crave below:

It looks like fans will have to wait until the theatrical release of Deadpool 3 to find out if Spider-Man India will be referenced in the movie. Of course, fans of both Deadpool and Spider-Verse movies would get the joke, but casual audiences who may not know that the Dopinder actor is the same person who voiced Spider-Man India might scratch their heads, or get that light bulb moment. It would be amusing to see if they managed to slip in a Spider-Man India reference as long as the joke doesn't sound forced.
