Deadpool 3 production is well underway, and every update regarding the film leaves fans excited. That was definitely the case when an image was recently posted on Twitter by Deadpool Updates, showing the aftermath of a battle with several cast and crew members busy around the area.

In the background, we can see the ruins of the 20th Century Fox logo towering over the people, which has most likely fallen victim to the battle. What’s interesting is that the 20th Century Fox studios used to own the film rights to both the X-Men and Deadpool franchises before Disney acquired it in the late 2010s. However, the meaning behind this scene is still a mystery.

Judging from the image posted on Twitter, many fans believe that this will be a hilarious jab at Wolverine and Deadpool leaving Fox behind and joining hands with the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Not many details have been revealed yet regarding Deadpool 3, but as production slowly but steadily progresses, we will receive more insight into the highly anticipated movie. Apart from Hugh Jackman’s comeback as Wolverine, fans will see many classic characters make a huge comeback in the movie.

Some of these include Brianna Hildebrand's Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Jennifer Garner’s Elektra. Lastly, rumors have also been going around lately that Channing Tatum might play Gambit in Deadpool 3, a character the actor has been trying to get for years.

Is Deadpool 3 A Part Of The MCU?

After Disney bought 20th Century Fox, Marvel Studios gradually brought in X-Men characters into the MCU, starting with Deadpool 3. Previously, in an interview with Comicbook.com, Ryan Reynolds mentioned that the movie’s grounding in the Marvel franchise will present to be a fun new challenge.

" Deadpool, for me, is kind of like an anxiety-inducing tightrope walk. I always think when I've got Deadpool just right, I'm speaking from experience from Deadpool 1 & 2, that I need to make it 30 to 40% percent better than it already is. Even if I'm at the moment where I'm like, 'This is perfect, this moment!' Then, I stop, and I go, 'Okay, this has to be 30% better than it already is.' It's a stressful thing to get right, or at least right as far as I'm concerned. So, no, I never really thought about it, but I did love the idea of playing with Deadpool and Korg in some of the marketing materials, given the fact that Taika [Waititi] and I are in the movie. So, I kinda got to scratch the itch, inevitably anyway."

Deadpool 3 is expected to land in theatres on May 3, 2024, which is quite a long time if you ask me! Till then, you can watch the first two movies, which are available on Disney+.
