March has officially begun, and Disney+ has just released its new slate of content set to stream this month. Of course, owning the rights to Star Wars and Marvel titles means fans will only see new shows and movies from these big franchises on the streamer. So, as part of its latest releases, viewers are about to see Mobius, the continuation of Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3, and the much-awaited return of X-Men ‘97.

Disney+ started 2024 with a bang with the success of Percy Jackson and The Olympians and Echo after dropping these new series in January. It’s followed by the much-awaited The Bad Batch Season 3 premiere in February, garnering an 83% Tomatometer and an 89% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes with only four episodes released. By the looks of it, the service will continue to win this March with the animated series' final episodes and the premiere of X-Men ‘97.

Morbius

It’s Morbin’ Time as the 2022 Spider-Man spin-off movie Morbius kicks off the TV viewing on Disney+ this March. A third installment to Sony’s Spider-Man Universe, it follows the story of Dr. Micael Morbius and his surrogate brother, Milo, becoming living vampires after curing themselves of a rare blood disease.

But despite the anticipation for this film, it was a double flop after experiencing both critical and commercial failure following its two releases. From its writing to its visual effects, the movie received criticism. However, Matt Smith, who played the role of Milo opposite Jared Leto’s Morbius, was praised for his performance. The film was originally released on March 10, 2022, and was re-released on June 14 of the same year. Morbius is now streaming on Disney+.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch Season 3 Episodes 5-9

The Bad Batch Season 3 may have only premiered on February 21, but it has already released four episodes. After making fans wait for about a year, the series treats the viewers with a three-episode premiere, commencing the action and the intense turn of events of the final season. But though it returns to its weekly release, it’s about to drop five episodes this month.

After the fourth episode reveals Omega’s reunion with Wrecker and Hunter, the fight against the Empire isn’t done yet. Dr. Hemlock continues his search for the young clone now that he knows that her blood contains the M-count he needs for Project Necromancer. As Clone Force 99 will do their best to protect Omega, they also have to save themselves from the threat of the Empire. The Bad Batch Season 3 Episode 5 is set to be released on March 6, followed by Episodes 6 and 7 on March 13, Episode 8 on March 20, and Episode 9 on March 27. The first four episodes are now available to stream on Disney+.

X-Men ‘97

Almost 30 years after X-Men: The Animated Series ended, Wolverine, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, and the rest of the fan-favorite mutants are back to the reboot X-Men ’97. The show will continue where the original animated series ends, with the X-Men facing more dangerous challenges following the death of its leader, Professor X. But aside from seeing the return of the series’ iconic characters, fans will once again hear some of the original cast members reprising or playing new roles in the revival, like Cal Dodd, Lenore Zann, George Buza, Catherine Disher, Chris Potter, Alison Sealy-Smith, Adrian Hough, Christopher Britton, Alyson Court, Lawrence Bayne, and Ron Rubin.

So, prepare for a major nostalgia as X-Men ’97 is scheduled to premiere on March 20, followed by a new episode on March 27. Though this won’t be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with its original show’s success, it can surely stand on its own.
