After last week's shocking cliffhanger ending of X-Men '97 Episode 9, Tolerance is Extinction - Part 2, viewers are getting ready for the Season 1 finale of Marvel Animation and Disney Plus's hit animated series. Today, Marvel Animation has released a 17-second teaser for X-Men '97 Episode 10, titled Tolerance is Extinction - Part 3, and you can watch it in the tweet below:

Unlike teasers for previous episodes, the latest X-Men '97 teaser doesn't reveal any major new footage, so we can expect some big surprises in the Season 1 finale. Instead, the teaser highlights the major conflict between Professor X and Magneto, as well as a quick look at Storm, Wolverine, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Jubilee, Morph, Beast, and Cable in action. There's a good chance that Season 1 will end in a cliffhanger, but before that happens, we can expect a lot of exciting moments that fans will be talking about while waiting for X-Men '97 Season 2.

How many seasons of X-Men '97 are coming?

The first season of X-Men '97 has been well-received by critics and audiences thus far, so it's not surprising that Marvel Studios and Disney have already renewed the show for Season 2. During an interview with Comicbook.com, Marvel Studios Head of Television and Streaming, Brad Winderbaum, said that viewers can look forward to at least two more seasons of X-Men '97, claiming that the Season 3 is currently being developed.

Over on X (formerly Twitter), X-Men '97 creator Beau DeMayo recently revealed that he had a five-season plan when developing the first two seasons of X-Men '97, hinting that the first season would end on a cliffhanger. His comment was a response to a fan who asked whether the Season 1 finale would make audiences "go crazy" waiting for the premiere of X-Men '97 Season 2, or end with significant closure.

Marvel parted ways with DeMayo before the first season of X-Men '97 premiered on Disney+. With DeMayo's vision proven to be well-received by critics and fans, it makes sense for the studio to continue the narrative he started with the first two seasons.
