How cool would that be to see a team of super powerful women coming together against a common villain? That is what Madame Web brings to the table -- a female-led Marvel movie under Sony Entertainment. Four against one, the big bad in the movie is none other than a Spider-Man-like villain known as Ezekiel "Zeke" Sims and get to know him and his sinister motives.
The trailer of Madame Web breaks the internet as four Spider-Women team up against a mysterious villain that is similar to Spider-Man. Not to be confused, not all those who wears something similar to Spider-Man is your friendly neighborhood pal who'll save the day. Played by Tahir Rahim, the big bad guy may just be a guy in a coat and tie but he gets into black and red skin-tight suit and turns into a villain to bring wrath. Check the trailer below:
In the trailer, Madame Web is a clairvoyant mutant with precognition who sees the future before it happens. A psychic that she is, Web suspects that Zeke could also see into the future which makes it a match between the two of them, something like a good cop, bad cop kind of story. What makes it interesting is that it was mentioned that Web's mother knew Zeke from before as they researched spiders in the Amazon together before she passed away.
Who is Ezekiel "Zeke" Sims in Madame Web?
Ezekiel "Zeke" Sims is portrayed as a wealthy businessman who has built his connections internationally, usually the man in the suit. Speaking about a suit, though, he suits up in black and red tights that looks like that of Spider-Man but not to be confused, he's the villain in Madame Web and he will be facing four Spider-Women with Dakota Johnson as Cassandra Web/ Madame Web, Sydney Sweeney as Julia Carpenter/ Spider-Woman, Celeste O'Connor as Mattie Franklin/ Spider-Woman, and Isabela Merced as Anya Corazon/ Spider-Girl.
In the comics, Ezekiel Sims is a villain whose skillset is similar to Spider-Man with enhanced speed, reflexes, strength, and resistance, sticking on surfaces, and with a proficiency in hand-to-hand combat despite not having formal training. Ezekiel has his spidey-sense, too, where his sense abilities and that of Spider-Man cancel out each other in the comics. Whether these abilities would be in Madame Web remains a mystery to look forward to in the movie.
