Fans won't have to wait for too long to watch the anime adaptation of Shinogi Kazanami's The New Gate fantasy light novels. It was officially announced that The New Gate anime is scheduled to premiere on April 13 at 25:30 JST (effectively April 14 at 1:30). Studios Cloud Hearts and Yokohama Animation Lab are animating the TV anime series, which Tamaki Nakatsu will direct.
A new key visual was revealed along with the announcement, as well as the casting of Lynn (Miorine in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury) as Rionne Strail Bayrelicht and Yuki Hoshi (Pluto, My Hero Academia) as Kagerou. They are joining the anime's main cast, which includes Kensho Ono, Kaede Hondo, and Asami Seto.

What is the plot of The New Gate?
The New Gate anime is based on the original light novel series written by Shinogi Kazanami, which was initially published on December 27, 2013 by Alphapolis, and there are currently 21 volumes. The isekai series also received a manga adaptation by Yoshiyuki Miwa, and as of November 2023, it has been collected into 13 volumes. was published by One Peace Books, which shared a story description for The New Gate:

The twelfth volume of The New Gate manga series was released in English on February 6, 2024. The New Gate will be one of the isekai anime shows joining the Spring 2024 anime season lineup, which includes KonoSuba Season 3, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Part 2, and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3.
