The popular Ms. Marvel and The Marvels star Iman Vellani has achieved what no fan has been able to during her incredible rise to being a Marvel Cinematic Universe star. You can also clearly see her immense happiness and appreciation of this fact in every interview she does.

With the Actors’ Strike officially done and dusted, Vellani is busy promoting The Marvels, with the actress recently appearing in a late-night show with Seth Meyers, and revealing that she had a huge bucket list item she wanted to fulfill while she was filming for the movie, which is to get cursed out by Samuel L. Jackson.

Vellani discussed filming an early action scene in The Marvels where her character Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel place-switches with Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) during a fight against Kree warriors on the S.A.B.E.R. space station. As it turns out, the fight fulfilled one of Kamala’s life-long dreams, who has been a huge fan of The Avengers and Nick Fury.

Talking about listening to Sam Jackson’s popular profanity, Vellani revealed that her dream almost came true. In her anecdote regarding the scene, the actress shares how she attempted to improvise Kamala’s deep bonding moment with Nick Fury at the end of the fight by giving the actor a high-five that wasn’t quite scripted.

In the end, the move wasn’t used on-camera because Vellani ended up covering her face with her hand, so Jackson then suggested changing the gesture to a friendly elbow-bump that Kamala gives to Fury. Since Vellani wasn’t too confident about the move after multiple takes, Jackson grabbed her elbow and said, “Elbow me, motherf*cker!”

Vellani then quickly explained, "For the record, he didn't actually swear at me. That's just how I heard it. I was trying to get him to swear at me for so long... Nothing but hugs." Seth Meyers highlighted that the interview told us two facts about Iman Vellani’s bucket list, which is that she wants to get serenaded by Billy Joel and get called a "motherf*cker" by Samuel L. Jackson.

What does the MCU future for Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan look like?

We can easily say that Kamala is going to have an entirely different journey of her own in the future, one that might see her become a major figure in the franchise. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter after the release of The Marvels, Iman Vellani talked about how her character’s journey will be different after the time she spent with Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau. She explained:

Well, I do think that she's not going to put people on a pedestal as much. Kamala and I are on a very similar journey. I've gotten a lot better at not holding celebrities to the highest standard possible. They're still human. They still put on pants just like we do. So I think Kamala is going through the same thing of just humanizing the people that she loves and realizing that they're not picture perfect, Carol especially. She's not a good leader. Carol has gone through a lot of trauma, and she's been conditioned to suppress her emotions. She doesn't understand how to fully be vulnerable in front of other people and in front of a team. Whereas Kamala, this is all she's ever wanted. She wants a team, and she's ready for this. So she really is the most emotionally intelligent and mature out of the three Marvels, and she can read people really well. A lot of the other characters can honestly learn quite a bit from her.

In the Ms. Marvel TV show, fans can see how obsessive Kamala used to be with her superheroes, especially Carol Danvers. However, that has greatly changed, which means that Kamala has grown quite a lot and can easily go forward on her own as a hero.
