The Marvels is one of the most-anticipated projects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with fans eagerly awaiting its release. Disney recently released a new trailer for this epic sequel, and fans are all for it. The Marvels will feature the long-awaited team-up of Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan), Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers), and Photon (Monica Rambeau).
In the new trailer, we get a much better sense of how the three will interact with each other and evolve throughout the movie. We also get a new look at Zawe Ashton’s Dar-Benn, who remains as wicked as ever.
The three heroes join forces when their powers somehow begin to mix up, making them teleport into each other’s lives. Inevitably, Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, and Monica Rambeau are forced to team up as they investigate the reason behind their place-swapping. On the other hand, we witness Dar-Benn's deep hatred for Captain Marvel and her plans to take revenge on behalf of the Kree people.
From the trailer, it’s quite clear she has a huge vendetta against Captain Marvel as she can be heard saying, "You took everything from me, and now I'm returning the favor." However, this evil character, who can be seen wielding the Accuser’s hammer, is similar to many Marvel antagonists in the sense that she is not completely evil. Her goal is to reunite the Kree race again after the catastrophic civil war.
Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, has promised fans that they have got plenty of stuff to be excited about and compared the epic superhero team-up movie to The Avengers. You can read his full response below:
