The arrival of the X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is definitely one of the most highly anticipated moments that everyone has been looking forward to since the Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox. However, with the current track of the MCU, it could be hard to introduce a whole new bunch without breaking some of the plans that the franchise has ahead. Luckily, the MCU may have already been teasing the mutants in the narrative and just recently, eagle-eyed fans think that the latest The Marvels clip contains a teaser!
The Marvels is just around the corner as the power trio teams up for their upcoming movie this weekend and as much as the fans are looking forward to their return, the arrival of the X-Men might've just taken over their hype as one of the teasers of The Marvels may have hinted the mutants' appearance on the MCU. Eagle-eyed and observant fans noticed something odd in the clip released by Marvel Studios for the promotion of The Marvels, marked at 0:11 on the video, as "comes next" appears on the screen, the "X" was left for a few moments. This seemingly teases that the mutants could be coming next in the MCU. See the clip below:
This hint from The Marvels teaser just got even more exciting as a scooper, @SammonNews, shared on X (formerly Twitter) that theme from X2: X-Men United and X-Men: Days of Future Past would be featured in The Marvels. This would make everything interesting as the finale of Ms. Marvel confirms that Kamala Khan may be a mutant after all as her genetic make-up was found to have been mutated, suggesting that she is, indeed, a mutant. More than that, a surprise arrival wouldn't hurt, too!

The MCU is best known for their surprises which keeps everyone hooked with the narrative from the start up to this day. These information, however, are kept under wraps until the release of their titles in cinemas or on Disney Plus. While there are subtle hints from The Marvels that the X-Men are coming to the MCU, there is still no better way to confirm whether the mutants will be introduced in the narrative than the release of the actual film itself.
To date, the MCU keeps the door shut whenever there are questions on when the X-Men will arrive in the MCU but a little mystery won't hurt, right?
The Marvels arrive in theaters on November 11, 2023.
