Kadokawa anime's YouTube channel has released a new promotional trailer for The Eminence in Shadow Season 2, featuring the preview of the anime's ending theme song Polaris in the Night by voice actresses Ikumi Hasegawa, Maaya Uchida, Ryoko Maekawa, and Mayu Minami. The trailer also gives us an early look at the dark fantasy adventures of Cid Kagenou, a.k.a. "Shadow". The upcoming anime season is directed by Kazuya Nakanishi at studio Nexus.

Where to watch The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 in the U.S.
Outside of Japan, The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 will be available to stream on HIDIVE, just like the first season of the anime. The second season is confirmed to have 12 episodes total (the first season had 20 episodes), and the first episode is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, October 4. The preview for Episode 1 has already been released.
What is The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 about?

The Eminence in Shadow is based on Daisuke Aizawa's Japanese light series of the same title (Japanese: 陰の実力者になりたくて!, Hepburn: Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!).

The Eminence in Shadow Season 2 is one of the remaining isekai anime titles coming this year, and it's definitely one of the most highly-anticipated ones. Expect this anime to be a hit just like the first season.
