Maomao will continuously investigate the deaths in the palace in The Apothecary Diaries Episode 11, titled Make Two into One. The anime has released the stills and trailer for the upcoming episode, showing Maomao and Jinshi’s sweet scene together, though the former is trying to find out the reason behind the death of Lady Ah-Dou’s son. You can see the preview below:

The Apothecary Diaries Episode 11 short preview shows Maomao appreciating the beauty of a red flower in the palace’s garden. She’s next seen offering it to an unseen individual, as the next scene shows a baby crying. Lady Lishuu approaches Lady Ah-Dou and the latter’s head maid, Fengming.

And amid the intense turn of events in the palace, Maomao and Jinshi still find time to be together, trying to blow out the flowers they’re holding. As the preview draws to a close, someone is revealed to be dropping something from the roof while Lady Lishuu and her maid are seen running.

Alternatively, the stills show Lady Ah-Dou and Fengming together, Maomao holding the red flower while looking at someone, and the Pure Consort of the Garnet Palace alone in the dark while holding what looks like a drink. The next preview shows Lady Ah-Dou after giving birth to her child while Fengming holds the kid in her arms and cries. The anime has also released a chibby version of Maomao trying to get a drink handed to her by someone and a scene of her and Jinshi together.
