Almost a month after its release, The Apothecary Diaries has dropped the official music video for its ending theme, Aikotoba, by AiNA THE END. Like the anime itself, it is colorful and romantic as the blossoming romance between the lead characters, Maomao and Jinshi, begins. Aside from the two, it has given fans butterflies by featuring the other romantic scenes in the emperor’s palace. You can watch the music video below:

The loved-up music video begins with a solo scene of Maomao looking at a picturesque sky. As the music starts, it features the scene where Jinshi sees Maomao analyzing what could have been the illness of Lady Gyokuyou’s child. It then shows the time when Jinshi summons the servants in the palace to see who can read and write amongst them.

As the clip continuously shows the scenes from the first few episodes, it gives a glimpse of the young Maomao and her adoptive father and herbal medicine mentor, Luomen, as they walk together. From there, a montage of sequences is revealed, showing a serious-looking Lady Gyokuyou, a crying Lady Lihua, and Jinshi and Gaoshun together.

Of course, the music video will not be complete without featuring the sweet scenes between Jinshi and Maomao. At one point, it shows when Jinshi gives a hairpin to Maomao and puts it in her hair. It also plays the scenes where Jinshi watches Maomao whip up her medicine and when she catches him looking at her during the garden party. To complete these romantic sequences, the emotional reunion between the woman, who has been dubbed as the white ghost, and her soldier lover is also revealed.
