After a painstaking three-year wait, Netflix finally released Sweet Home Season 2 on December 1. Sweet Home Season 2 ended with the surprising appearance of Eun Hyeok. After being left at the Green Home, it looks like Lee Eun Yu’s brother is now a monster. However, the series has yet to reveal whether he will still be an ally or a new foe that Cha Hyun Soo faces. Talking about Hyun Soo, the character’s actor, Song Kang, is about to enlist. So, will he still be part of Sweet Home Season 3?

When will Sweet Home Season 3 premiere?

Fortunately, fans may not have to wait for a couple of years before seeing the continuation of the fight between the humans and monsters. The second season finale ended with a title card that flashed its 2024 premiere, and it's already confirmed that it will premiere in Summer 2024. Sure, this doesn’t reveal the exact release date of Sweet Home Season 3, but it’s comforting to know that it will only take a year before the new episodes come out.

The second and third seasons were filmed back-to-back, with the first season director, Lee Eun Bok, returning at the helm. Go Min Si, who plays the role of Eun Yoo, even gave a production update in a post on Instagram on March 10, 2023, saying the filming for the two seasons was over after a year. That said, its 2024 premiere is now rest assured.

Is Eun Hyeok a friend or foe in Sweet Home Season 3?

After the major deaths of the first season’s characters, like Yoon Ji Su, Sweet Home Season 2 introduced several new names to its lore. The show is now expanding its story beyond Kim Carnby’s webtoon, on which the series is based, but it manages to connect all the pieces, setting up another great tale to continue in Sweet Home Season 3.

Eun Hyeok has returned and seems to be born again as a monster. However, it remains to be seen if he will be a friend or foe, especially since he’s in the same place as Ui Myeong. The latter plans to turn people into neohumans, and Eun Hyeok may become a part of his plan.

Will Song Kang return to Sweet Home Season 3?

During a press conference for Sweet Home Season 2, Song Kang revealed the hit Netflix series would be his final project before he began his military enlistment. “It is my natural duty, so once I finish up promotion schedules for 'Sweet Home 2', I will fulfill my [mandatory] duties and return in good health,” he said, as translated by AllKpop.

With that being said, fans can’t help but fear that he may not be part of Sweet Home Season 3. Thankfully, no one has to worry, as the Son of Netflix will surely be in the third season. As mentioned above, the second and third seasons are filmed back-to-back, giving Song Kang a chance to remain in it.
