Sweet Home Season 2 Stars Lee Jin Wook, Go Min Si & Jung Jinyoung Talk About Their Characters

Sweet Home Season 2 will feature new characters that may not be part of the original webtoon.

Sweet Home Season 2 is coming real soon, and fans will again see the characters they love and hate, led by Song Kang as Cha Hyun Soo. Two returning stars are Go Min Si and Lee Jin Wook, who will reprise their roles as Lee Eun Yoo and Pyeon Sang Wook, while a new character, Chan Yeong, played by Jung Jinyoung, will be introduced. As these three are about to take the small screens, they talk about their characters and the changes fans are about to see.

Lee Jin Wook, Go Min Si, and Jung Jinyoung graced the pages of Harper’s Bazaar December issue and discussed the upcoming Sweet Home Season 2 in an interview. True to the show’s concept, the pictorial’s theme was dark, as they seemed to be trapped in a narrow space while displaying their incredible charms.

Talking about her role as Lee Eun Yoo, Go Min Si revealed her character has now matured compared to the first season. She then spoke about how it took her time to understand the real message of the show, contemplating if there was more to it than what she perceived. Thankfully, with a lot of communication with the directors, the 28-year-old star believed she had played her role well.

“Looking back, I think Eun Yu was well-portrayed thanks to such a difficult and confusing time,” she said via Soompi.

Alternatively, Lee Jin Wook revealed fans are about to see the backstory of Jung Ui Myeong, who possessed Pyeon Sang Wook’s body in the first season finale, in Sweet Home Season 2. There will be “complex and philosophical stories,” adding his new character has a lot of “philosophical questions.”

The actor continued that Jung Ui Myeong was uncommon, so he had much to study. And since he had to play this role in a very limited time, he did his best to “condense that energy when filming.”

Lastly, fans will see Jung Jinyoung as Chan Yeong in Sweet Home Season 2. Also a singer and songwriter, his character isn’t included in the original webtoon by Kim Carnby on which the show is based. Jinyoung revealed his role was born in hopes that someone might want to protect justice and take a righteous stand despite living in a devastated world.
