There is new hope for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Season 2 following positive comments from one of its key cast members.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew premiered on Disney+ in December 2024 with its first two episodes and concluded its eight-episode first season in mid-January 2025. The series followed a group of four young friends on the isolated planet At Attin who embark on an unexpected adventure through the galaxy after stumbling upon a mysterious ship, encountering pirates, and crossing paths with the enigmatic Jod Na Nawood. Their journey blended coming-of-age elements with classic Star Wars action and exploration.

In an interview with ScreenRant during the Pressure junket, Kerry Condon shared her thoughts on the possibility of more episodes. "I mean, I heard maybe possibly, but I don't know. You never know in this business, but I really hope so because I thought the kids were great." Her comments come more than a year after the season finale, providing a measured yet positive signal amid ongoing discussions about the series' prospects.

Condon portrayed Fara in Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, a multifaceted character serving as the mother of young Fern, played by Ryan Kiera Armstrong. Beyond her family role, Fara held positions as a high-ranking government official and teacher on At Attin. Her dual responsibilities as a protective parent and influential leader gave her significant weight in key story moments. This was particularly evident in the season finale, where she faced the critical choice of destroying the Barrier that had long isolated her planet.

The young stars of the series—Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, and Robert Timothy Smith—have grown considerably since the show was filmed between September 2022 and January 2023. Even though Star Wars: Skeleton Crew only reached audiences in late 2024, the passage of time means the child actors now look noticeably older than their on-screen counterparts from the first season. This natural aging could influence storytelling decisions if additional seasons move forward, potentially shifting the narrative focus toward more mature challenges for the characters as they navigate their place in a larger galaxy.

This development arrives during a transitional period for Star Wars live-action projects. While Ahsoka Season 2 remains the primary confirmed television continuation in this era, the franchise has increasingly emphasized theatrical releases. The recent The Mandalorian and Grogu film and the upcoming Star Wars: Starfighter highlight Lucasfilm's commitment to big-screen adventures. Nevertheless, Condon's update suggests Star Wars: Skeleton Crew could still find a path back to Disney+.

Kerry Condon's comments breathe new life into the prospects for Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Season 2, particularly with her key position as Fara and her clear fondness for the young cast driving the story forward. With the child actors visibly older and prepared for elevated roles, a renewed season could explore deeper consequences of At Attin's emergence into the galaxy, including political tensions and the crew's evolving relationships with figures like Jod. This potential continuation would strengthen the Star Wars franchise's ability to deliver intimate, character-focused tales alongside its larger cinematic projects.
