The official trailer for Ahsoka may have confirmed a lot of big things about the upcoming Star Wars series. For instance, we finally got our first look at Lars Mikkelsen as the live-action Grand Admiral Thrawn. However, the teaser may have also confirmed a long-standing rumor suggesting that Hayden Christensen will have a huge cameo as Darth Vader.

Back in 2020, Disney announced Ahsoka as one of the spin-off shows for The Mandalorian. Even then, there were speculations that the new series will bring back Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader. On the other hand, Disney and Lucasfilm have not officially announced Christensen's involvement in the Rosario Dawson series.

But is it possible that things have changed with the release of the official Ahsoka trailer? Although Darth Vader does not make an appearance in the teaser, the villain Baylan Skoll namedrops Anakin Skywalker by telling Ahsoka Tano that her former master spoke highly of her.

Interestingly, the same scene teased a major clue about Darth Vader's cameo. As Baylan speaks, Vader's breathing can be heard in the background. Although it might simply be a tease that would give his statement more depth, it also suggests that the Sith Lord will show up and face Ahsoka yet again.

This is an awesome possibility considering that Ahsoka was last seen facing off against Darth Vader in Star Wars Rebels. Could their duel finally see a conclusion? It's one thing that fans are hoping to see in Ahsoka next month.

Ahsoka will bring back Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano. She will be joined by Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, and Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger. The late Ray Stevenson will play the former Jedi Baylan Skoll in one of his first post-humous performances since his passing in May this year.

Ahsoka is set for a two-episode premiere on Disney+ on August 23, 2023.
